April 6th: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

I titled the post this way because that is how I feel when I approach any recipe/food item that reads healthy, or diet on it. I have already experienced two 'very' ugly recipes thus far. The first was a Weight Watchers Banana Peach Smoothie.

Despite the alluring picture and high reviews I was sorely mistaken. It tasted like water and milk only at first, but after you swallowed it you got a banana taste in the back of your throat coupled with peach fibers that get stuck in your teeth. Yuck! The second thing I tried was this diet free drink called SANS. I chose the orange flavored one and thought it would be better for me because it used a natural artificial sweetener. As soon as it hit my lips I knew it… I had been hit with the bad and ugly. It tasted like mineral water with a hint of citrus. Nope, no, this will not do. I like my diet drinks strong and vibrant.

However, not all the food has been bad. I ate some pasta primavera last night and it was very tasty. If you go to my tab titled, "Top Weight Loss Recipes," you can try it for yourself. My sisters also told me that the food network has a whole section of healthy recipes that are worth a go. They made a Chicken Rollatini and said it was very good. So, I am going to do that this week.
